Nicole Anderson, Esq.| Principal
Nicole Anderson, Principal of Anderson Law Group, practices in the area of estate planning and business law. She lives in Laguna Beach with her husband, Peter Anderson.
Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economy from The Colorado College and attended the London School of Economics for one year in pursuit of her degree. Nicole is currently pursuing her L.L.M (masters in law) in taxation from Chapman University School of Law. She received her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in Michigan. Before founding Anderson Law Group, she served as a judicial clerk for a federal judge and was a law clerk for the Assistant United States Attorney in Detroit. She worked for the law offices of Cline, Cline and Griffin in Michigan then Anderson & Le in Orange County.
Nicole is a member of the Trusts & Estates section of the State Bar of California, as well as a member of the Orange County Bar Association. For over the past two years, she has been a member of WealthCounsel, LLC – a nationwide collaboration of trusts and estates attorneys and other legal, tax and business professionals. Nicole joined WealthCounsel in order to offer my clients the most up-to-date estate planning strategies. She believes that through collaborative efforts with my colleagues, I am able to deliver the most technically up-to-date and peer-reviewed documents, advice and counsel for my clients.
Nicole volunteers her time with the Junior League of Orange County and serves on the outreach committee. She is an active member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and participates in the Orange County Chapter as the chair of member only mixers. Nicole is passionate about the arts and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Laguna College of Art and Design.
Nicole is fluent in German and she and her husband enjoy world traveling, hiking in the Laguna canyons with their dog, Oscar, frequenting the beach and spending time with each other. Nicole welcomes speaking engagements in the areas of Advanced Estate Planning and Business law.
Anderson Law Group’s current projects for clients include:
· Designing a business succession plan for a $5million Orange County corporation
· Working with multiple Orange County entrepreneurs on business planning documents
· Designing custom estate plans for individuals and families with few to over $10 million in assets
· Creating Qualified Personal Residence Trusts for families to remove their home from their estate taxable estate
· Setting up Irrevocable Life Insurance trusts for families to remove their life insurance proceeds from their estate taxable estates.
· Working with families to integrate Charitable Planning into their estate plan
· Designing Property Agreements and Estate Planning Strategies for families with vacation homes
· Assisting local physicians with their suite of business planning documents
